Jaipur, 20 August (Kiran News). The monsoon rains continue in Rajasthan, but many districts are still suffering from heat and humidity. On Tuesday, rainfall was recorded in Jaipur, Udaipur, Banswara, Sirohi, Dausa, and several other districts. However, after the rain, the sun came out again, leading to increased heat and humidity, causing discomfort to residents. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather for the next three to four days across the state. An alert has also been issued for 23 districts on Wednesday.
In the last 24 hours, Dausa received 10 mm, Dudu in Jaipur 13 mm, Osian in Jodhpur 16 mm, Bap 19 mm, Pindwara in Sirohi 34 mm, Badgaon in Udaipur 15 mm, Nasirabad in Ajmer 13 mm, Bhungra in Banswara 13 mm, Chhattargarh in Bikaner 23 mm, and Balaghat in Karauli 13 mm of rainfall.
In Tonk district’s Kankod village, the roof of a government girls’ higher secondary school room collapsed around 9 am on Tuesday morning. Fortunately, no student was injured.
After scattered rainfall in the districts, the sky cleared and the sun emerged, increasing heat and humidity. In Barmer, the maximum daytime temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 40°C, which is 4°C above the average for the area.
According to weather experts, the current monsoon trough line is passing through Surat and Amravati to a well-marked low-pressure system formed in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, only the southern parts of Rajasthan are seeing light rainfall.
