Chandigarh, May 29 (Udaipur Kiran): ED officials in Punjab raided more than a dozen places of mining mafia on Wednesday and seized three crore rupees and all documents.

ED officials raided the premises of mining mafia in Rupnagar and Hoshiarpur districts of Punjab after getting information about mining on the seized lands. ED officials have seized three crore rupees and all documents by raiding a dozen places. The land on which illegal mining was being done had come to light during the investigation of money laundering of Jagdish Singh alias Bhola, involved in drug smuggling. Which had been confiscated by the ED, but after that illegal mining started here.
This case of money laundering related to Bhola drugs case in Punjab had come to light during the year 2013-14. After this, the ED had registered a case on the basis of an FIR of the Punjab Police. The investigation agency arrested Bhola in January 2014. After a long investigation, the ED came to know that Bhola had bought land from drug money, which had been confiscated. This action of ED is going on continuously.
