Power Cut in Ranchi, October 27: Several Areas to Face Electricity Shutdown from 9 AM to 4:30 PM
Ranchi, October 27, 2026: Several areas in Ranchi and its surrounding regions will experience power cuts on Tuesday due to maintenance work on different electricity feeders. The work includes tree branch trimming, installation of high-tension (HT) wires and replacement of low-tension (LT) lines with aerial bundled (AB) cables.
Power cuts will take place at different times between 9 AM and 4:30 PM. Electricity department officials have advised consumers to complete essential electricity-related work in advance.
Power Cut Schedule in Ashok Nagar
In the Ashok Nagar electricity subdivision, tree branch trimming will be carried out in two phases.
Power supply will remain disrupted from 9 AM to 10 AM in Alkapuri, New Pundag, Bhagatkocha, Dibdih and nearby areas.
A second shutdown is scheduled from 11 AM to 12 noon in Mahavir Nagar Phase 1, SP Colony and surrounding localities.
Power Cut in Lalpur and Kokar
Under the RDSS scheme, high-tension wires will be installed on the Pathalkudua feeder in Lalpur. Electricity supply will be affected from 10 AM to 4 PM along the route from Pathalkudua Chowk through Gudiya Petrol Pump Chowk to Naya Toli.
In the Kokar division, a transformer near Adarsh Vidyalaya on Tiril Road, under the Chunabhatti feeder, will remain switched off.
Power supply in the Kokar division office and Bank Colony areas will be disrupted from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Power Cut in Chutia
Work to replace the LT line with AB cable will be carried out on the Krishnapuri feeder in Chutia.
As a result, electricity supply will be affected from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM near the Chutia substation on Power Road, near Chutia police station and around the Chhath pond in Dhumsa Toli.
Power supply may also be disrupted on Dwarkapuri Road No. 2 under the Krishnapuri feeder due to electrical work.
Power Cut in Morabadi and RK Mission Areas
A transformer near Baniatoli Lower Basti and Bodhiya Road, under the New Morabadi feeder, will remain switched off from 10 AM to 4:30 PM.
In Sattar Colony near Alam Hospital, under the RK Mission feeder, electricity supply will be disrupted from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Power Cut in Ormanjhi and Nearby Areas
Maintenance work, including tree branch trimming, will be carried out on the 33 kV Rukka-PHED line in the Ormanjhi area.
A transformer on the Baridih feeder at the Baridih tea garden power house near Baridih Chowk will remain switched off from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
At Mandro Tand under the Kucchu feeder, stay fitting and box installation work will be carried out under the RDSS scheme from 11 AM to 4 PM. Electricity supply will remain disrupted during this work.
