Police constable killed by truck in Udaipur

Udaipur : A police constable was killed by a truck in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Tuesday. The incident took place on the Ahmedabad-Udaipur National Highway near the TD police station.

According to police, constable Rajkumar Meena, a resident of Singhtvada village in Jawarmines, was posted at the TD police station. He was on duty during a blockade when a truck coming from Ahmedabad towards Udaipur hit him at high speed. The truck driver fled the scene.

A large number of people gathered at the spot after the accident. ASP Rural Dr. Priyanka and Govardhan police station SHO Ajay Singh Rao reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The body of the constable was taken to the TD hospital for post-mortem.
