PM Modi to attend SCO summit in China

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Qingdao. Prime Minister Modi will be in Qingdao on 9th and 10th June to participate in the 18th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.

This is the first time India will be attending the SCO summit as a full-member as it became a full member of the SCO last year at Astana in Kazakhstan.

Among other issues, the summit is expected to focus on opportunities for cooperation among SCO members and the situation in the region.

PM Modi will attend the SCO heads of states meeting in both the restricted as well as the extended formats.

He would also hold bilateral meetings with heads of other participating countries on the sidelines of the SCO Summit.
