Jodhpur, September 23 (Udaipur Kiran News): Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Monday inspected the newly constructed terminal building of Jodhpur Airport during his city visit. He expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited to inaugurate the new terminal building and lay the foundation stone of the proposed elevated road.

Shekhawat held a review meeting with airport officials and the district administration, issuing necessary instructions for final preparations. District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, Airport Director Dr. Manoj Uniyal, and other senior officials were also present during the inspection. The meeting discussed progress and final touches to the new terminal project.
Speaking to reporters, Shekhawat said he had been working for a long time to make the new terminal a reality, and now the project was nearing completion. “Soon the new terminal will be inaugurated, and there is a strong possibility that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will do the honours,” he said.
He added that the focus is on creating a modern terminal equipped with enhanced passenger amenities, advanced technology, and increased flight capacity. “Some observations were made earlier regarding architectural designs and functionality. I reviewed them again today, and I am satisfied with the progress,” he noted.
Shekhawat also reviewed arrangements related to power, water supply, and drainage near the terminal, instructing civic agencies to resolve these issues quickly. He directed officials to ensure top-quality construction and emphasized that the project should be completed by the end of October, asking all agencies to accelerate their work pace.
