Patwari Arrested in Kota for Taking ₹45,000 Bribe

Jaipur, October 15 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Kota Special Unit, has arrested Patwari Pradhan Chaudhary of Patwar Halka Kaithuda, under Khatauli Sub-Tehsil, District Kota, while accepting a bribe of ₹45,000 in cash from a complainant.

According to Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General, ACB Headquarters, Jaipur, the complainant had submitted a written report stating that Patwari Pradhan Chaudhary had been demanding a ₹50,000 bribe for conducting the measurement (paimaish) of agricultural land located in village Bagawda, under Patwar Halka Kaithuda. Despite submitting the application at the Khatauli Sub-Tehsil office, the matter was deliberately kept pending.

Acting on the complaint, the ACB verified the allegations under the supervision of DIG Anand Sharma and the direction of Additional SP Mukul Sharma, with the operation led by Inspector Prithviraj Meena. During verification on September 19, 2025, the accused was found demanding ₹50,000 and had already accepted ₹5,000 as part payment. He had agreed to take the remaining amount before Diwali.

Following confirmation, a trap operation was conducted on October 15, 2025, during which the accused Patwari Pradhan Chaudhary was caught red-handed while accepting ₹45,000 from the complainant.

The accused has been detained, and interrogation is currently underway. The ACB has registered a case under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), and further investigation is in progress.
