Udaipur Kiran: The third season of Pacefest, organized by Pacific University, began with great enthusiasm, showcasing the creativity and talent of school students from across the region. The two-day event aims to provide a major platform for young minds to express their skills in academics, culture, and arts.

Over 500 students from 40 schools are participating in the fest, which features a variety of competitions including Knowledge Quiz, Poster Making, Debate, Science Exhibition, Poetry Recitation, Solo and Group Dance, Singing, Extempore, Essay Writing, and Rangoli Making.
The event was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Chief Guest Mrs. Nivritti Kumari Mewar, a member of the former royal family of Mewar, praised Pacific University for organizing such meaningful events that encourage the holistic development of students. She said, “By participating in cultural programs, students stay connected to their roots, literature, and local traditions, which also foster patriotism.”
Urging students to avoid unnecessary use of mobile phones, she added, “Student life is precious — use it creatively and enjoy it meaningfully.” She also encouraged students to communicate in their mother tongue and in the Mewari language, calling it a natural medium of expression that instills pride in the heritage of Mewar.
Guest of Honour Lokesh Bharti, CDEO, said such constructive events help in showcasing students’ hidden talents and build a positive attitude towards life. Prof. B.P. Sharma, Chairperson of UNESCO MGIEP, added that “today’s school students are tomorrow’s leaders, and such engaging and thoughtful programs play a vital role in shaping their future.”
Prof. Hemant Kothari, President of Pacific University, said, “Events like Pacefest enhance students’ adaptability and expose them to innovation. Performing on a large platform boosts confidence and encourages learning through interaction with peers from other schools.”
Prof. Dilendra Hiran, Chairperson, Faculty of Science and Technology, emphasized that academic, cultural, literary, and practical skills are equally important. “Our efforts are focused on nurturing all-round development to help students become skilled and capable professionals,” he said.
The program began with a welcome address by Prof. V.K. Singh Bhadoria, Director, Faculty of Hotel Management, who introduced the participants to the various events of Pacefest. Mr. Jacob John, Co-Principal, Faculty of Hotel Management, proposed a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the principals and teachers of participating schools for motivating students to take part.
The event was smoothly conducted by Dr. Mehndi Sharma and Ms. Kripa Jain, who added energy and charm to the proceedings.
