Mahakumbh Nagar, February 11 : To ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the Maghi Purnima Snan Festival, the Mahakumbh Mela area has been declared a No-Vehicle Zone from Tuesday morning. This decision has been taken under the directives of the Chief Minister to facilitate seamless movement and safe bathing for devotees.

Traffic Restrictions & No-Vehicle Zone Details
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahakumbh Rajesh Dwivedi, from February 11 at 4 AM, all types of vehicles—except those related to essential and emergency services—have been prohibited in the Mela area to ensure a hassle-free experience for pilgrims.
Key restrictions include:
- Vehicles of visitors coming from outside Prayagraj will be parked at designated routes and parking areas after 4 AM on February 11.
- Essential and emergency service vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.
- From 5 PM on February 11, the No-Vehicle Zone will be extended to Prayagraj city to regulate crowd movement efficiently.
- This traffic plan will remain in effect until the smooth departure of devotees post Maghi Purnima Snan on February 12.
- The restrictions also apply to Kalpavasis’ vehicles, ensuring uniform enforcement across the city and Mela grounds.
