Udaipur, February 11: Senior tourism officer and Joint Director Sumita Saroch has been appointed to lead the Udaipur Tourism Department. As per the directive issued by the Joint Secretary of the Tourism Department, Saroch has been entrusted with this responsibility.

Upon receiving this crucial assignment, Saroch expressed her commitment to elevating Udaipur’s global tourism stature in alignment with the state government’s vision. She emphasized efforts to transform the city and its surrounding regions into premier tourism destinations, catering to the increasing enthusiasm of visitors.
Currently serving as the Joint Director at the Tourism Department headquarters in Jaipur, Saroch has been appointed to the Regional Tourism Office in Udaipur as part of an administrative reshuffle. According to official orders, she will assume her new role after March 10, following the completion of the IIFA event.
Notably, Saroch is a senior officer of the Rajasthan Tourism Service and has previously served in Udaipur. Her extensive experience is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing tourism development in the city.
