Jaipur, March 20, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): In a strong message of women empowerment, 10 women personnel of the Rajasthan Police have set remarkable examples of courage, compassion and duty, proving that strength and sensitivity can go hand in hand in uniform.

These women officers have not only handled law and order responsibilities but have also demonstrated humanity and service in challenging situations. Whether it was saving lives, solving complex cases or supporting victims, their contribution reflects dedication and professionalism. Along with their demanding roles, they have also balanced their family responsibilities as mothers, daughters and sisters.
Their bravery and commitment were recognised when Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma interacted with them at his residence and praised their efforts. He described their work as a source of inspiration for the entire state.

These women personnel showed unwavering commitment even in difficult situations. From acting firmly against criminals to extending help to those in need, they maintained a balance between strict policing and human sensitivity.
Inspiring Stories of Courage
Among them, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dr. Poonam took strict action in crimes against women and ensured arrests of several wanted offenders under the POCSO Act. Station House Officer Gunjan Verma set an example of efficient policing by filing a chargesheet within two days in a sensitive case involving a foreign woman.
Sub-Inspector Sonali Sharma played a key role in solving serious crimes and safely rescuing an abducted newborn. Head Constable Gayatri Devi brought pride through sports by winning 9 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze medal at national and international levels.
Head Constable Saroj Chaudhary contributed significantly to women’s safety by resolving 4,581 out of 4,735 complaints while serving in the Women Dignity Cell (1090).
Constable Ganga Damor showed exceptional bravery by jumping into a fast-flowing canal to save a drowning woman. Constable Menka Kumari displayed courage during a bank robbery attempt by confronting armed criminals and helping foil the incident.
Constable Vimla helped recover around Rs 10.69 lakh in a robbery case through alert action. Constable Dholi Bai rescued a distressed woman from an aggressive crowd, preventing a major incident.
Constable Ritu Rathore brought laurels by winning a gold medal in All India Police Weightlifting and Volleyball Cluster (2023–24).
