New Delhi, May 13 – In light of heightened security alerts, leading Indian carriers Air India and IndiGo have issued travel advisories and cancelled several domestic flights scheduled for May 13, 2025, to and from key cities across the country.

Air India Issues Flight Advisory for Eight Cities
Air India announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle that all incoming and outgoing flights on May 13 have been cancelled for the following cities:
Jammu
Leh
Jodhpur
Amritsar
Bhuj
Jamnagar
Chandigarh
Rajkot
The airline cited “recent developments and passenger safety” as the primary reason for suspending these operations.
IndiGo Cancels Flights to Six Key Destinations
IndiGo, India’s largest airline, has also issued a similar travel advisory, suspending operations on all routes connecting to and from:
Jammu
Amritsar
Chandigarh
Leh
Srinagar
Rajkot
Passengers have been advised to check the IndiGo website or mobile app for real-time updates and contact the airline’s support for rebooking and assistance.
Security Alert Linked to Regional Tensions
The decision to cancel flights follows increased national security measures taken in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, allegedly carried out by Pakistan-backed militants. The Indian government remains on high alert following cross-border provocations, despite a recent military ceasefire following India’s Operation Sindoor.
While Pakistan has reportedly stepped back from direct confrontation, Indian defense forces remain vigilant. As a precautionary measure, civilian air traffic in sensitive areas has been curtailed to minimize risk and ensure passenger safety.
