Dr Rawat said the Sports Village could be redeveloped through funding under the Khelo India scheme and directed officials to prepare a detailed proposal at the earliest. He emphasised that timely action would help restore the sports infrastructure and prevent wastage of public funds already spent on the project.

During the visit, the MP also inspected the under-construction multipurpose stadium and reviewed the progress of ongoing work. He instructed officials to prepare fresh plans for the remaining work and send approval proposals to both the state and central governments under schemes such as Khelo India.

While inspecting the cricket stadium, Dr Rawat noted that the structure had deteriorated significantly and warned that further delays could lead to the loss of earlier investments. He assured that he would extend full support at both the state and central levels to facilitate the completion of the project.

Following the inspection, a meeting was held with officials from the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA), where Executive Engineers Hitesh Sukhwal, Neeraj Mathur and Rajeev Gupta were directed to prepare the proposal and cost estimates.

The MP also inspected the newly developed athletics track and the lacrosse ground and discussed with District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal about inaugurating the facilities soon.

Dr Paliwal briefed the MP about the various sports activities conducted at the Sports Village and the athletes who have represented the state and the country after training at the facility.

UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain was also present during the visit. Dr Rawat further reviewed details of the indoor stadium project and directed officials to complete the pending work. He also interacted with basketball and volleyball players participating in the State Civil Services Sports Competition.
