Motorola Edge 50 Pro with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC was launched in India earlier this month. The company has now confirmed that it will launch its entire range of Edge 50 series smartphones in global markets. The range includes the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. The former is said to come with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, while the latter will come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
In the X teaser, Motorola announced that it will launch the entire Edge 50 series in global markets on April 16. The teaser was released with the tagline “Intelligence meets art”. Although we only mentioned the Motorola Edge 50 family, we can expect at least three models – Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro was recently launched in India. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 31,999, paired with a 68W charger. It is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and features a 6.7-inch curved display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel triple camera on the back and is powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports up to 125W. wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is rumored to launch as a cheaper variant priced around Rs 500. 25,000. It might come with a 6.7-inch display and a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging power. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and has a dual camera setup on the back.
Ultimately, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is the highest quality product in the following lineup. In the US, it’s called Motorola Edge+ 2024 or Edge Ultra 2024 and costs around $999 (roughly Rs. 83,000). It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone is said to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate.
