Moto X50 Ultra, Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, and More Phones Confirmed to Launch With Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC

Qualcomm unveiled the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8s chipset on Monday, March 18th. It is said to be a cheaper version of the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, which has been widely used in a number of flagship smartphones since its launch last year. After launching the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip with the latest AI, several brands have confirmed that some of their upcoming models will feature 4nm octa-core chipsets. Here are all the phones proven to have the new SoC:

Moto X50 Ultra

In a post on Weibo, Motorola confirmed that the upcoming Moto X50 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. The company presented this model as a “phone with artificial intelligence”. Outside China, the model will be launched as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in some global markets, including India. In the US, the phone is expected to be called the Motorola Edge+ (2024).

Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has been confirmed to launch in India with a 6.7-inch 1.5K curved display with 144Hz resolution, 2000 nits peak brightness, 50MP triple rear camera setup and three color options comes to the market.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro

Xiaomi also announced in a Weibo post that the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will launch globally with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This model will also feature the company’s HyperOS user interface. Further details about this device have not been revealed by Xiaomi.

However, a Xiaomi model with model number 24053PY09I has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification page. It is said that the device will launch in India as Xiaomi 14 Lite and in China as Xiaomi Civi 4. The company is yet to confirm both models.

Redmi Note 13 Turbo

In a post on Weibo, Redmi announced that its upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. The company has not confirmed the name of the model, but shared it as “Redmi New Series” (translated from Chinese). It is expected to be the Redmi Note 13 Turbo which was recently leaked online. It was proposed to launch this model outside China under the name Poco F6.

Redmi Note 13 Turbo is expected to launch with HyperOS based on Android 14. The phone is said to feature a 6.78-inch OLED 1.5K 144Hz display and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging.

iQoo Z9 Turbo

In another post on Weibo, iQoo announced that the iQoo Z9 series, set to launch in China in April, will feature the newly launched Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The company has not listed the models expected to be introduced in this product line. The base model iQoo Z9 5G was recently launched in India with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. Therefore, it is speculated that the iQoo Z9 Turbo model, which was spotted in a previous online leak, may support the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8s processor. The Turbo model may have a 1.5K display and a 6000mAh battery.
