Bhopal : The monsoon season has begun in Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon is expected to arrive in the state by June 17-18. Before that, pre-monsoon activities will continue in the state. Intermittent rains are occurring since morning on Monday.
While it rained in many cities including Dhar, Ratlam, Chhindwara on Sunday, Niwari, Damoh and Chhatarpur remained hot. Similar weather is expected to continue for the next one week. There is an alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Chhindwara, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Dindori on Monday.
The Meteorological Department said that monsoon has set in over Mumbai on Sunday. Two days later, the branches of the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will weaken and remain so for a week.
The Bay of Bengal branch will be active on June 17 and 18. After that, the monsoon can reach Madhya Pradesh. Before that, the chances of monsoon arriving in the state are less. However, Western Disturbance (Western Disturbance) and Cyclonic Circulation are currently active in the state.
Due to this, there is a round of thunder and rain in the state. There was thundery rain in many cities including Dhar, Chhindwara, Ratlam on Sunday. On the other hand, the effect of heat was also seen in some cities of the state.
Talking about the temperature, the highest temperature of 44.5 degrees was recorded in Damoh district. The temperature in Prithvipur of Niwari and Bijawar of Chhatarpur was 44.2 degrees. The mercury was recorded at 44 degrees in Tikamgarh, 43.8 degrees in Singrauli, 43.6 degrees in Khajuraho, 43.5 degrees in Naugaon, 43.4 degrees in Gwalior, 42.2 degrees in Satna and Rewa.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 40.9 degrees in the capital Bhopal, 37.4 degrees in Indore, 42.5 degrees in Jabalpur and 39.7 degrees in Ujjain. The mercury was recorded at 36.2 degrees in Pachmarhi, the lowest. It was 37 degrees in Malajkhand-Chhindwara and 37.4 degrees in Dhar.
