Maruti Suzuki Set to Launch Five New Cars Soon

Mumbai, October 25: Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to introduce five new cars in the Indian market soon. This lineup includes the facelifted Fronx, a three-row electric MPV, and a compact electric vehicle. Additionally, a new model named Victoris has been spotted during testing, and there is considerable buzz around the updated version of the Invicto. While official details regarding the launch timeline and features are yet to be revealed, here’s what we can expect from these upcoming models.

1. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift

The facelifted model of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been seen during testing. Changes in the front and rear design are anticipated, including a new grille, updated bumpers, and revised lighting to enhance its appeal. New safety and comfort features may also be introduced, with discussions around the inclusion of ADAS features like adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking following the sighting of a radar sensor. The existing 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-liter turbo petrol engines are likely to continue, and the company is also working on an affordable hybrid system for future models.

2. Maruti Suzuki YMC Electric MPV

The YMC is expected to be Maruti Suzuki’s first fully electric MPV. The vehicle, spotted during testing, features three-row seating and a long roofline. Reports suggest that it may share the EV platform and some powertrain components with the Maruti e-Vitara, with potential battery packs of 49kWh and 61kWh. However, specifications have not been confirmed by the company. It is anticipated to launch in 2027.

3. Maruti Victoris Spotted During Testing

A heavily covered test model of the Maruti Victoris has been observed, sparking discussions about new engine options, fuel technology, or updates. However, it remains unclear whether the company is testing electric, flex-fuel, or other fuel options. The Victoris was launched in 2025, so it may be premature to speculate on its facelift. The company has not provided any official information regarding design, features, or engine changes.

4. Maruti’s Compact Electric Car

Following the e-Vitara and YMC, Maruti Suzuki may expand its electric vehicle range with a compact and affordable electric car, ideal for city driving and daily use. This new model could compete with electric cars like the Tata Punch EV. Official details regarding the name and design of this vehicle are still awaited.

5. Maruti Suzuki Invicto Facelift

The premium MPV Invicto is also expected to receive updates. Reports indicate that the company may make some changes to its exterior and expand the features list, potentially narrowing the feature gap with the Toyota Innova Hycross. Currently, there is no official information on the launch date or new features for the Invicto facelift. The existing model is equipped with a 2.0-liter strong-hybrid engine paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox, and there is anticipation regarding any changes to the engine or variants in the new model.
