Udaipur, January 8, 2025: In a significant operation under the leadership of Probationer IPS Madhav Upadhyay, a team from Udaipur Police successfully seized 304 grams of opium (Afim Dudh), worth approximately three lakh rupees, and arrested the accused, Shambhu Singh. The operation was conducted in the Debari area, with vital intelligence support leading to the bust.

The action is part of a larger ongoing campaign directed by District Police Superintendent, Udaipur, Shri Yogesh Goyal, to tackle the smuggling and distribution of illegal narcotics. The arrest was made under the supervision of Additional Police Superintendent (City), Shri Umesh Ojha, and Circle Officer (East), Shri Chhagan Rajpurohit.
Details of the Operation
The operation was carried out by the team led by Probationer IPS Madhav Upadhyay and Shri Bharat Yogi, Station House Officer of Pratapnagar Police Station. According to preliminary investigations, the accused, Shambhu Singh, confessed to bringing the illegal substance from Madhya Pradesh and planning to supply it in Udaipur City. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the procurement and distribution network of the illegal narcotics.
The arrested individual has been identified as Shambhu Singh, son of Shri Bhawani Singh, residing in Nala Phala, Debari, Pratapnagar Police Station, Udaipur.
