Four Friends Die in Rewa After High-Speed Bike Collision with Truck, Another Killed in Vidisha Crash

March 31, 2025 — Madhya Pradesh: A festive day turned into one of mourning in Rewa and Vidisha districts, where a total of five youths lost their lives in two separate road accidents on Eid-ul-Fitr.

In Rewa, a group of four friends, out for Eid celebrations, were killed on the spot when their high-speed Pulsar bike collided with a heavy-duty truck (Hyva) near the Chauriyar turn in the Gurh police station area.

All four were riding one motorcycle, returning from a photo shoot trip to Mohaniya Tunnel after offering Eid prayers.
According to GRP SI Dharm Singh, the impact was so severe that the bike was shattered, and all four youths died on the spot. Locals alerted the police, who took the bodies to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where doctors confirmed their deaths.
“They were excited about the festival and went out to take pictures. I had refused my son Jumman when he asked for money, but he convinced his mother and left,” said Mohammad Umar, father of one of the deceased.
Families are demanding the arrest of the truck driver, who fled the scene after the crash. The truck has been seized, and police have initiated an investigation.

In a separate accident near Satpada Sarai village on the Shamshabad Road in Vidisha district, one youth was killed, and two others critically injured after their bike collided head-on with another motorcycle.

According to Karariya police, the trio was returning from Eid celebrations when their bike collided with another motorcycle ridden by a youth named Anuj. The crash was reportedly head-on and intense enough to cause immediate fatal injuries.
Emergency responders quickly transported the victims via 108 ambulance, and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
