Bhopal, March 17 â Madhya Pradesh is set to witness a major weather shift, with thunderstorms and heavy winds expected across half the state on March 19-20. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange alerts for several regions, warning of wind speeds reaching up to 50 km/h in some areas.
The impact will be most severe in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Chambal, Sagar, and Shahdol divisions, while light showers may be seen in Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior regions.

The weather shift is due to two cyclonic circulation systems, one over Rajasthan and another over northwest Madhya Pradesh, causing unseasonal storms across the region.
