Udaipur : A leopard was spotted roaming on the road near Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India on February 18, 2024. The leopard was seen standing near the bamboo trees on the banks of the lake. After the lights and horns of passing vehicles, the leopard moved forward and hid.
The area where the leopard was spotted is surrounded by hilly terrain. The Thura Magra and Neemjmata areas are located nearby. Experts say that the leopard may have come to Fateh Sagar to quench its thirst from the hilly area.
In the first week of January, a leopard had entered an empty house in Dewali Chhor and the forest department teams had started a search operation to catch it. It had then escaped and ran towards the Neemjmata hills.
