Rahul struck his 11th Test century — his second on home soil and his first in India after nine years — scoring a composed 100+ runs off 192 balls with 12 boundaries. He remains unbeaten at the crease alongside wicketkeeper-batter *Dhruv Jurel (14)**.
Resuming from 121/2, India lost skipper Shubman Gill (50) early in the session, caught in the slips off Roston Chase (2/37). Gill’s half-century came off 100 deliveries with five fours, and he shared a crucial 98-run partnership with Rahul for the third wicket.
