Four coaches, including the engine, moved forward and the rest of the train remained behind. This sudden incident caused panic among the passengers on board the train and they got off in fear. After getting information about the incident, the train was stopped and repair work was carried out. The train then departed for Mungawali.

According to the information, Jodhpur Express, which was going from Bhopal to Mungawali, reached Bina on Friday night about 15 minutes late from the scheduled time and departed for its destination after a five-minute stoppage.

However, as the train moved forward, its coupling suddenly opened between Bina and Mungawali and it split into two parts. This caused the front part of the train to move 40-50 feet forward. When the train stopped after a jerk, the passengers got down and only then they came to know that the train’s coupling had broken and they heaved a sigh of relief.

When the driver and guard of the train came to know about it, they pushed the engine and the coaches attached to it back and returned to connect the coupling.

The train then departed for its destination. During this entire process, the train stood on the track between the desolate area in dense darkness for about 55 minutes. Fortunately, the train was running at slow speed during this time, otherwise a major accident could have happened.
