An officer of Central Industrial Security Force, Rajendra Prasad was martyred, after terrorists attacked a security post guarding a power grid station at Wagoora area of Nowgam in Srinagar city late last night.
Terrorists opened fire upon the CISF post at Wagoora at around 1 am leaving an Assistant Sub-Inspector rank official injured.
The injured officer identified as ASI Rajendra Prasad was immediately taken to a nearby hospital by his colleagues, where doctors declared him as brought dead. SSP Srinagar said that investigation into the case has been launched.
