Jharkhand Weather Update: Temperature Fluctuations to Continue, Intense Heat Expected in April

Ranchi, March 29 Jharkhand is expected to witness continued fluctuations in temperature over the next few days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The forecast suggests a temporary drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius in several districts, including the capital Ranchi, before temperatures begin to rise again.

On Saturday, Ranchi and surrounding areas experienced clear skies. The morning began with a slight chill, but as the day progressed, rising temperatures made the heat more palpable. The intensity of the sun during the afternoon added to the discomfort.

  • Ranchi: 35.3°C (Maximum)

  • Jamshedpur: 40.4°C

  • Daltonganj: 40.5°C

  • Bokaro: 39.1°C

Several districts in the state have already crossed the 40°C mark, raising concerns about the onset of an intense summer.

Extreme Heat Ahead in April

Weather officials have cautioned that from the first week of April, Jharkhand may experience extreme heat. With many areas already recording soaring temperatures, this summer is expected to be hotter than the previous year.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight during peak hours, and monitor updates from local weather agencies for real-time alerts.
