Ranchi, September 9 (Kiran News) — The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall in several districts of Jharkhand from September 10.

According to the department, winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour and lightning are also likely during this period. A yellow alert has been issued for precaution.
On Tuesday, Ranchi and its adjoining areas witnessed clear skies and bright sunshine, leading to intense heat and discomfort. The capital city recorded humidity levels of up to 92 percent.
In the past 24 hours, Chandwara in Koderma district received the highest rainfall in the state at 42 millimetres.
During the same period, Seraikela recorded the highest maximum temperature at 36.9 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature of 21 degrees Celsius was reported in Latehar.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Ranchi was 33.2°C, the same as Jamshedpur. Daltonganj recorded 34.2°C, Bokaro 34.1°C, and Chaibasa 36.8°C.
