Jain Community Women to Support GBH Memorial Cancer Hospital’s Awareness Campaign

Udaipur, February 5, 2025: GBH Memorial Cancer Hospital has announced a door-to-door cancer awareness campaign, with the Udaipur Women’s Wing of the Bharatiya Jain Organization pledging their full support in this noble initiative.

World Cancer Day Observance at GBH Memorial Cancer Hospital

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, GBH Memorial Cancer Hospital organized a special awareness event on Tuesday. Dr. Vinay Joshi, Dean of the American International Institute of Medical Sciences, addressed college students and Anganwadi workers, urging them to reach out to every household and educate families about cancer awareness.

Renowned breast cancer specialist Dr. Garima Mehta emphasized the importance of a healthy diet and physical fitness in combating cancer. Students from Sunrise Nursing College, Saraswati Nursing College, and Mohanlal Sukhadia University actively participated in the event.

Leading oncologists, including Dr. Rohit Rebelo, Dr. Mansi Shah, Dr. Mamta Lodha, Dr. Quresh Bambora, Dr. Shailesh Patidar, and Dr. Manan Saruparia, shared insights on various types, symptoms, and treatments of cancer. Participants were also given an exclusive demonstration of Rajasthan’s only Tomotherapy machine, highlighting its advanced features in cancer treatment.

Seminar on Early Detection and Prevention

A seminar was also organized at GBH American Hospital in collaboration with the Udaipur Women’s Wing of the Bharatiya Jain Organization. During the session, Dr. Garima Mehta provided valuable insights on building immunity through a healthy lifestyle and stressed the significance of early detection and diagnosis of cancer.

Rajkumar Fattawat, former National Secretary of the Bharatiya Jain Organization, conducted the session and reaffirmed the crucial role of Jain community women in cancer awareness initiatives. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Fattawat, acknowledging the collective effort towards a cancer-free society.
