Udaipur, January 8 (Udaipur Kiran): Hindustan Zinc Limited showcased its flagship CSR initiatives—Sakhi, Micro-Enterprise, and Samadhan—at the Flower Show held at Fateh Sagar Pal in Udaipur, where the stalls emerged as a major attraction for tourists and local residents alike.

During the 10-day-long event, products crafted by rural women received an overwhelming response, reflecting their skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Under the Upaya brand, a wide range of Ajrakh-printed products were displayed, including men’s and women’s apparel, laptop bags, cushion covers, document holders, and coasters. In addition, Daichi’s pure spices, pulses, pickles, namkeen, and traditional bilona ghee under the Gaiyam initiative were also well received by visitors.
The strong footfall and demand resulted in total sales of ₹4.99 lakh over the 10-day period. More than two lakh visitors visited the stall during the exhibition.
One of the key attractions of the showcase was the engagement zone, which blended learning with entertainment. Over 5,000 visitors experienced traditional processes such as block printing and bilona ghee making firsthand. Adding to the social impact, members of the Sakhi Uthori group staged street plays over two days, effectively conveying messages of social awareness and leaving a strong impression on the audience.
Through initiatives like Sakhi and Samadhan, Hindustan Zinc continues its commitment to empowering rural communities and connecting them with mainstream markets, while also promoting sustainable livelihoods and social awareness.
