Hind Zinc School Chittorgarh awarded with prestigious Platinum Certification from Indian Green Building Council

Udaipur : Hindustan Zincis leading the future with its sustainable initiatives and is committed towards reduction in their carbon footprint. One of the company’s entities, Hind Zinc School in Chittorgarhhas received Global Leadership recognition from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). It is one of the top-scoring schools out of the only two “Platinum Certified” schools in Rajasthan. The school has been awarded for contributing towards India’s status as a global green champion through green building projects.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Arun Misra, CEO, Hindustan Zinc Limited said, “The Platinum rating is a testament to our commitment towards ESG not only for our manufacturing units but also for schools where we are developing future leaders for the nation. Hind Zinc School is educating students from Nursery to 12th standard.Students are developing concepts and skills that facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, enhance their personalities and prepare them for life’s responsibilities. The students are learning from textbooks and are also part of awareness sessions on sustainable habits. The students are motivated to carry out plantation drivesat regular intervals. Additionally, topics like nutrition, exercise, and safety are essential part of their curriculum. The school is successfullyproviding value-based education and a dynamic learning environment to a total of 997 young minds.
