Hero Set to Unveil New Electric Motorcycle ‘Vida Ubex’ Next Month — Here’s What to Expect
New Delhi, October 29 (Udaipur Kiran). Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, is preparing to expand its electric vehicle lineup with an all-new electric motorcycle concept named Vida Ubex. The company had earlier entered the EV segment under its sub-brand Vida, which currently retails the Vida V1 series in India.

The upcoming Vida Ubex concept was briefly teased on Hero’s social media handles before being taken down — hinting that a full reveal is near. Reports suggest that the concept is nearly production-ready and will make its global debut at the 2025 EICMA Show, scheduled for the first week of November in Milan, Italy.
This will be Hero’s third concept under the Vida electric division after the Vida Lynx (a lightweight electric ADV) and Vida Acro (a compact electric mini-bike aimed at beginners). However, unlike the previous concepts, the Ubex appears to be a roadster or streetfighter-style motorcycle, suggesting that Hero is ready to compete directly in the mid-range electric motorcycle segment.
Design and Key Highlights
Although the teaser revealed only the silhouette, several production-spec elements could be identified — including a saree guard, tyre hugger, single-piece seat, and alloy wheels. These details indicate that the Ubex is designed with real-world usability and manufacturing readiness in mind.
Hardware-wise, the motorcycle is expected to feature USD telescopic front forks, a rear mono-shock, petal disc brakes at both ends, and a street-style handlebar. Power will likely come from a mid-mounted electric motor that drives the rear wheel via a belt drive system — a setup often seen on premium electric motorcycles for smoother and quieter performance.
Hero’s Electric Ambition
With the introduction of the Vida Ubex, Hero MotoCorp seems to be strengthening its presence in the fast-growing electric motorcycle space. The company’s earlier focus was on electric scooters, but the Ubex signals a strategic shift toward performance-oriented e-motorcycles.
The final production model could follow sometime after its EICMA 2025 debut, likely entering the Indian market in 2026.
If launched at a competitive price, the Vida Ubex could mark a significant milestone in Hero’s EV journey, offering Indian consumers a homegrown alternative to global electric motorcycles in the roadster segment.
