Hero MotoCorp Shares Rise After Acquiring 26% Stake in Clean Max Karakoram

Mumbai, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Hero MotoCorp surged 1.60% on Friday after the company announced the completion of its 26% equity acquisition in Clean Max Karakoram, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) owned by Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions. The move is part of Hero MotoCorp’s broader plan to enhance its renewable energy footprint through solar power projects.

The stock opened at Rs. 5514.40 on the BSE and touched an intraday high of Rs. 5625.00 before trading at Rs. 5602.50, up 88.10 points from its previous close of Rs. 5514.40. Around 5,441 shares were traded on the counter.

Hero MotoCorp’s market capitalization currently stands at Rs. 1,12,090.02 crore. The stock has recorded a 52-week high of Rs. 5704.00 (23-Oct-2025) and a 52-week low of Rs. 3322.60 (07-Apr-2025).

As per the company’s shareholding pattern, promoters hold 34.73%, while institutions and non-institutions own 55.15% and 10.11%, respectively.

The acquisition is aimed at supporting a Solar Power Wheeling Project for Hero MotoCorp’s Dharuhera and Gurugram manufacturing facilities under the captive scheme. The investment aligns with the Green Energy Open Access Regulations 2023 of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.

According to the company, the initial investment amounts to Rs. 26,000, with further funding to be made as per the Share Subscription and Shareholders Agreement signed on October 30, 2025.

With this move, Hero MotoCorp strengthens its commitment to sustainable energy and decarbonization in its operations. The company remains the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, and its renewable energy expansion marks a key step toward achieving long-term environmental goals.
