Head Constable Caught Red-Handed Taking Bribe in Sikar

Jaipur, January 1 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested a head constable of Sadar Police Station, Neem Ka Thana, in Sikar district, while he was accepting a bribe of ₹10,000. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, Head Constable No. 171.

Sikar Bribery Case

According to the ACB, the action was taken following a complaint received against the accused. The complainant alleged that the head constable had demanded a bribe in exchange for not implicating his brothers in FIR No. 406/2025. It was alleged that the accused had already taken ₹10,000 earlier and was demanding an additional ₹10,000 to settle the matter.

On January 1, 2026, acting on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the remaining ₹10,000 as bribe from the complainant.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police (ACB) Rajesh Singh, with the ACB Sikar unit led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar. The accused was arrested on the spot, and the bribe amount was recovered.

According to Additional Director General of Police (ACB) Smita Srivastava, further investigation is underway, and the case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
