Udaipur, March 7 – HDFC Bank, in collaboration with the Indian Army and CSC e-Governance, has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand Project NAMAN – A Tribute to Veterans to 26 new Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV) locations across India. The initiative aims to enhance support services for Army Veterans, their families, and next of kin, reinforcing HDFC Bank’s commitment to economic inclusiveness for defence personnel under its Parivartan programme.

Project NAMAN: Strengthening Services for Army Veterans
The Common Service Centres (CSCs) under Project NAMAN will be operated by Army Veterans, their families, or next of kin and will offer:
- Pension-related services
- Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services
- Business-to-Consumer (B2C) services
These centres will be set up within defence establishments, ensuring ease of access to essential services for veterans and their families.
Renewed MoU & Key Signatories
A tripartite MoU was renewed between:
- HDFC Bank Limited (under its Parivartan programme)
- Indian Army’s Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV)
- CSC Academy
The agreement was signed by:

- Brigadier, Directorate of Indian Army Veterans

Expansion to 26 New DIAV Locations
The second phase of Project NAMAN will cover 26 DIAV locations across:

This expansion follows the success of Phase 1, which was launched in September 2023, with CSCs established at 14 DIAV locations.
Empowering Army Veterans Through Skill Development & Financial Independence
HDFC Bank, through Project NAMAN, is not only providing essential services but also promoting financial literacy and skill development for veterans and their families. The new centres will offer training in financial products and services, equipping them with skills for financial independence.
Additionally, individuals managing the CSCs will receive a monthly monetary grant for 12 months, supporting their transition into sustainable financial roles.
