Srinagar, March 31 : An encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday evening continues, officials said. The encounter erupted at the Turkwangam area when joint forces of Police, Army and the CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation against militants in the area. “As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where the terrorists were said to be hiding they came under fire triggering the encounter,” a security official said.
