Gandhinagar, February 3 – In a significant move to enhance connectivity and infrastructure, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has sanctioned ₹51.57 crore for the renovation and construction of roads and bridges connecting the renowned Jain pilgrimage site, Palitana.

This initiative is expected to provide a more seamless and secure travel experience for pilgrims and visitors, ensuring better road connectivity to the revered religious site.
Enhanced Infrastructure for Tourism and Pilgrimage Routes
Earlier, the Gujarat government allocated ₹2,269 crore for the development and improvement of roads connecting 44 major tourist destinations across the state.
As part of this broader plan, ₹40.50 crore had already been sanctioned for the construction and renovation of six roads and bridges spanning 24.90 kilometers leading to Palitana. Now, with an additional ₹51.57 crore, the state government has approved new roadways and bridges covering an 800-meter stretch, further reinforcing Palitana’s connectivity.
With this latest sanction, the total investment in Palitana’s road infrastructure has reached ₹92.07 crore, covering a total distance of 25.70 kilometers.
