Grand Opening of ‘Dharohar’ Art Exhibition at City Palace Museum

UDAIPUR. The City Palace Museum’s historic Chhota Darikhana witnessed the grand inauguration of the three-day art exhibition ‘Dharohar – Echoes of Tradition in Modern Art’ on Friday. The opening day saw a remarkable turnout of art enthusiasts, students, and tourists from across India and abroad.

Dr. Mayank Gupta, CEO of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, informed that the exhibition is organised with the Foundation’s support. The group exhibition features selected artworks by artists Priyul Menaria, Gayatri Prajapat, Yuthika Yadav, and Jyoti Sahdev.

The exhibition vividly showcases Indian culture, traditions, folk life, and spiritual sentiments through a modern artistic lens. The paintings strongly and expressively depict Rajasthani folk life, historical architecture, religious beliefs, and human emotions, captivating the audience.

Visitors praised the artists’ creative expression, colour combinations, technical skill, and choice of themes. The inauguration day created a lively atmosphere with creative dialogues and discussions on art. The exhibition will remain open daily from 10 am to 5 pm until 11 January 2026.
