33 Host Families Performed Abhishek; 1008 Modaks Offered to Lord Ganesha

Banswara, 2 September (Kiran News) – Swastik Colony in Barodiya town witnessed vibrant Ganeshotsav celebrations on Tuesday, with special puja and rituals held with devotion and enthusiasm. For the past 27 years, the Srijan Yuva Manch has been organising Ganeshotsav in the colony, marked by the ceremonial installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol and traditional festivities.

Collective Abhishek by 33 Families

Under the leadership of chief hosts Smt. Shanta Devi and Leelaram Sharma, 33 host families participated in a special puja for Lord Ganesha. Led by Pandit Kishore Shukla, the rituals began at dawn with the idol’s abhishek performed as per the ‘Shodashopachar’ tradition.

Resounding Maha Aarti Fills the Premises

Pandit Shukla shared that after the special puja and abhishek, a collective Maha Aarti was organised. During this, devotees recited the Ganapati Atharvashirsha and prayed for prosperity and well-being for all.

Offering of 1008 Modaks

During the event, the host families offered 1008 modaks to Lord Ganesha while chanting the Ganapati Atharvashirsha. The entire premises was filled with devotional songs and sounds, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Felicitation Ceremony Held

On this occasion, the Srijan Yuva Manch honoured Nathji Mukhiya of the village, retired principal Umesh Joshi, senior member Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, VHP’s Vikas Bhatt, and Police Outpost ASI Lalsingh by presenting them with shawls. Many prominent villagers and members of the Yuva Manch, including Leelaram Sharma, Heeralal Sharma, Ranchhod Patidar, Jagdish Joshi, Chandreshwar Joshi, Kailash Joshi, Dinesh Joshi, Jayprakash Joshi, Suresh Soni, Sushil Soni, and Dinesh Pathak, were present along with a large number of residents.

Religious Events Continue

Following the installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol, ten days of religious rituals, cultural programmes, and collective aartis are ongoing. Residents of the colony, as well as neighbouring villagers, are joining in large numbers to celebrate the spirit and devotion of Ganeshotsav. Throughout Swastik Colony, the air echoes with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya”, reflecting the joy and devotion of the festival.
