Following the directions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, a special joint campaign has been launched from 29 December to 15 January across Udaipur and all districts within the Aravalli belt to curb illegal mining, extraction, and storage activities.
The campaign will be implemented with a zero-tolerance policy, and strict actions have been mandated against offenders. He stated that the Honorable Chief Minister himself is monitoring this campaign. He urged all officials to carry out their duties with complete seriousness and accountability, warning that no negligence will be tolerated and strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
Mehta instructed all sub-division level teams to use DMFT-provided vehicles for effective monitoring. The mining engineer was directed to provide detailed information about mining leases, their areas, and sensitive sites prone to illegal mining to the sub-divisional magistrates.
Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal advised all police officers to coordinate with other departmental teams and ensure stringent action to completely stop illegal mining activities.
The special campaign against illegal mining is being conducted in all Aravalli belt districts including Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur, Dausa, Kotputli-Behror, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Beawar, Tonk, Kuchaman-Deedwana, Pali, Sirohi, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Salumber, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Pratapgarh.
