Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 is expected to be released soon, replacing the Pixel Buds Pro True Wireless (TWS) earphones that were unveiled at the Google I/O event in May 2022.
However, this has not yet been confirmed by the company. Previous reports have suggested that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 could be launched at the company’s I/O event or Pixel Hardware event in May, and details of the charging case for the Pixel 9 series smartphones have surfaced online.
91Mobiles reports that a Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 charging case with model number GH8TQ has been spotted on UL Demko’s website. The Danish certification site has a 650mAh lithium-ion battery, which they claim provides slightly more capacity than the original Pixel Buds Pro’s 620mAh battery.
The publication found the Pixel Buds Pro 2 on the SatefyKorea certification site with the same model number. The list also reveals that China’s Chongqing VDL Electronics is the contract manufacturer of charging cases for TWS earphones.
The Google Pixel Buds Pro is priced at Rs 19,990 in India and is available in Anthracite, Coral, Faux Wood and Lemongrass colors. They support active noise cancellation (ANC) and a special transparency mode. The headset also supports multi-point connection, so you can connect to several devices at the same time.
The Google Pixel Buds Pro are reported to offer up to 31 hours of total battery life without ANC and up to 20 hours with ANC on. The charging case supports USB Type-C wired and Qi wireless charging. The housing is IPX2 rated for protection against gas splashes, and the individual earbuds are IPX4 certified.
