Google Pixel 8a Video Showing AI Features Leaks; Promotional Images Indicate 7-Year Software Support

Google Pixel 8a is scheduled to be unveiled next month at the company’s annual Google I/O conference, which begins on May 14. The company has yet to announce any plans to launch a new device, but details about the rumored Pixel 8a have been spotted online.

Tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (X: @OnLeaks) has released a promotional video for the Pixel 8a in collaboration with MySmartPrice, showcasing some of the unique Pixel features that will be included in the upcoming smartphone.

The video shows that the Pixel 8a comes with the Best Take feature, which swaps faces from multiple group shots or burst shots to replace faces with closed eyes or other awkward poses.

According to a leaked video, Circle to Search (another feature currently available on some Pixel and Samsung Galaxy smartphones) will also be available on the Pixel 8a, and the smartphone will also have a feature that removes unnecessary background noise.

It will also include Google’s Audio Magic Eraser feature, designed to delete recorded videos using artificial intelligence (AI). Based on this video, live translation of voice calls is also supported on the Pixel 8a.

Meanwhile, leaked images from Android Headlines also show that the Pixel 8a will launch with Best Take and Audio Magic Eraser features. This also includes Call Assist, Circle to Search and Google VPN support, which the company plans to discontinue on June 10th.

The leaked teaser also states that the phone is powered by a Tensor G3 chip and offers “seven years of security updates,” the same amount as the premium Pixel models.
