Udaipur, June 3 — Several parts of Udaipur city experienced scheduled power outages again today, as the Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL) continued its series of electricity cuts citing ongoing maintenance work. Public Anger Grows Over Unstable Supply
Residents across Udaipur expressed growing dissatisfaction with the ongoing outages, noting that even slight weather disturbances like rain or gusty winds result in complete blackouts. Locals have accused the department of hiding behind the excuse of maintenance while failing to provide consistent electricity during critical hours.
“We’re tired of these daily cuts. Students can’t study, businesses are affected, and even household chores get disrupted,” said one shop owner in Ambamata area.
Citizens have called on AVVNL to improve infrastructure and communication, urging the department to provide more reliable service, especially as summer temperatures rise.
With no clear end in sight to the disruptions, Udaipur’s residents are left hoping for more accountability and faster upgrades to the city’s power supply systems.
