
Udaipur : The Family Court-3 in Udaipur has ordered Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and current PWD Minister, to pay ₹4 lakh per month as interim maintenance to his estranged wife Sudarshana Singh Chundawat.
Senior advocate Bhavarsingh Deora informed that the court has issued this order till the pendency of the case.
According to the information, Sudarshana Singh Chundawat belongs to the Ameth royal family of Rajsamand. She had filed a case against her husband Vikramaditya in October 2022 in the Udaipur court under the Domestic Violence Act. The hearing of the case has been going on since then. Vikramaditya has also been visiting Udaipur with his family in connection with this case.
Vikramaditya and Sudarshana were married in Jaipur in March 2019. Their family belongs to the erstwhile royal family of Shimla and her maternal family is also from the Ameth clan, one of the 16 Umraos. After marriage, differences between the couple started increasing and Sudarshana accused her in-laws of harassing her. They were living separately since the COVID-19 pandemic. Subsequently, a case was filed in the Udaipur court.
