Lakhimpur Kheri, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News) – A tragic road accident in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday morning claimed the lives of five people after a collision between a roadways bus and a car. Around 10 others were injured, of whom six are in critical condition and have been referred to Lucknow for advanced treatment.

Upon receiving information, District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma reached the site to take stock of the situation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased and directed officials to ensure proper medical care for the injured. He instructed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the victims and their families.
🚨 How the Accident Happened
According to officials, a roadways bus heading from Lakhimpur to Lucknow collided head-on with a car traveling from Sitapur with around 15 passengers. Road repair work on one side forced vehicles to use the same lane, leading to the collision at Oyal Mod on the Lakhimpur–Sitapur highway.

The injured, including Salman, his wife Babli, their son Naj, and others such as Pushpa, Dilkush, Ramlal, and Sharda, were rushed to the district hospital. Six critically injured were later shifted to Lucknow for specialized care.
🏥 Administration on Alert
District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal assured that the administration is closely monitoring the treatment of all injured persons. She, along with the SP, will conduct a site inspection and take necessary steps to prevent future accidents in the area.
Police have notified the families of the victims, and further investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
