Eklingnath National Service Organization to Launch Massive “Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter” Campaign in Udaipur

Udaipur: The Jai Eklingnath National Service Organization is poised to initiate a groundbreaking campaign titled “Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter” in Udaipur. This endeavor promises to be the city’s most extensive campaign to date, with an active focus on involving women across urban and rural regions.

Akash Bagdi

Akash Bagdi, the founding president of the organization, unveiled this ambitious campaign on Wednesday to mark the New Year. During a meeting held by the organization, its members collectively endorsed the initiative, pledging their unwavering commitment to its success. Bagdi emphasized that every official and volunteer would dedicate their full energy to this cause. The campaign is set to span the entirety of Udaipur district, targeting both urban centers and remote villages to ensure widespread benefits for daughters.

Bagdi remarked that the campaign responds to a pressing societal need. Despite advancements in education and societal awareness, many areas, particularly rural ones, still neglect the education of girls. In some distressing instances, newborn girls are abandoned in bushes or drains. To combat such practices, the organization plans to run an awareness drive, placing posters and banners in hospitals and public spaces.

Nirmal Pandit, the patron of the organization, explained that the initiative will leverage women’s groups to encourage families to embrace the birth of daughters and prioritize their education, empowering them to become beacons of pride for their families. Inspirational stories of women who have achieved remarkable success will be shared to motivate mothers and daughters alike.

In its educational outreach, the organization’s volunteers will conduct village-by-village surveys to identify the reasons preventing girls from attending school. If financial barriers are identified, the organization will sponsor school fees and facilitate enrollment. For non-economic obstacles, volunteers will counsel families to resolve the issues. Pandit also highlighted plans to reach out to girls who have discontinued their education, investigate the underlying causes, and offer solutions. In cases of financial difficulties, philanthropists will be approached to sponsor their re-admission into schools or colleges.

Helpline Launch:
Akash Bagdi further announced plans to establish a dedicated helpline. This service will allow women and girls to directly connect with the organization for assistance, addressing their challenges and ensuring their needs are met.

This initiative aims not only to save and educate daughters but also to create a ripple effect of positive change in the community, fostering a future where daughters are celebrated as the foundation of a progressive society.
