Jaipur, January 1: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government has promoted 101 senior bureaucrats, including 27 IAS, 45 IPS, and 29 IFS officers. The Department of Personnel issued orders for these promotions, which became effective from January 1, 2025. Despite the elevations, most officers will retain their current postings for now.

Key Promotions in IAS Cadre
Prominent IAS officers, including Praveen Gupta, Principal Secretary of PWD, and Bhaskar A. Sawant, Principal Secretary of PHED, have been promoted to the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) rank in the Chief Secretary pay scale. Among others, Siddharth Sihag, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been elevated to the Selection Scale, making him Special Secretary.
The reshuffle also highlighted sibling promotions, with Tina Dabi (2016 batch) and her sister Ria Dabi (2021 batch) advancing together. Tina Dabi moves from Senior Scale to Junior Administrative Scale, while Ria Dabi is promoted from Junior Scale to Senior Scale. Similarly, couples in the IAS cadre, such as Siddharth Sihag and Rukmini Riyad, as well as Jasmeet Singh Sandhu and Artika Shukla, also received promotions.

IPS Cadre Promotions
Among the IPS officers, three were elevated from Inspector General (IG) to Additional Director General (ADG), including Lata Manoj Kumar. Several officers received “proforma promotions” due to central deputation. Prominent names include Umesh Datta and Navjyoti Gogoi.

The IFS cadre also saw notable advancements, with T.J. Kavitha, Principal OSD to the Chief Minister, promoted to the rank of Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF). A total of 29 officers received promotions across various levels.
