A magnitude 5.0 earthquake rocked parts of Mizoram on last night. The quake occurred at 10.45 pm at a depth of 24 km and the epicentre was Champhai district in India-Myanmar border region. The tremors were also felt in state capital Aizawl, where people rushed out of their houses. No loss of lives or property has been reported due to the earthquake so far.
