Jaipur, March 23, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma chaired a high-level crime review meeting at the Police Headquarters on Monday, directing strict action against hardcore criminals, cyber offenders and drug traffickers.

The meeting was held via video conferencing, with all range IGs and district Superintendents of Police joining virtually. A detailed review of law and order, public safety and serious crimes across the state was undertaken.
The DGP emphasised the need for swift and effective action to control both conventional and cyber crimes. Reviewing ongoing anti-narcotics drives, he instructed officials to intensify the activities of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and ensure strict monitoring at the field level.
Keeping upcoming festivals in mind, Sharma directed officers to maintain tight law and order arrangements and strengthen policing on the ground. He asked officials to increase police visibility and patrolling, and personally supervise field operations.
He also instructed district SPs to ensure quality investigation and conduct regular inspections of police stations. Stressing police welfare, he directed regular visits to police lines, assessment of basic facilities, and preparation of plans for timely repair of police quarters. He also called for setting up libraries in police lines to support intellectual development of personnel.
To curb cyber crime, SPs have been asked to review relevant portals daily, ensure effective case monitoring, and improve coordination among agencies. The DGP further directed round-the-clock monitoring of social media and strict legal action against those promoting or glorifying criminals online.
He emphasised strengthening cyber police stations through specialised training, resolving staff issues and ensuring quick disposal of pending cases. Timely disposal of complaints registered on the Rajasthan Sampark portal was also stressed.
Sharma highlighted the need to expand the use of the RajCop Citizen App and ICJS search, and to connect private CCTV cameras installed in public and residential areas with the Abhay Command Center to enhance surveillance and crime prevention.
He also directed effective use of the e-prosecution system to strengthen investigation and prosecution processes. Cases related to fake disability certificates flagged by the Special Operations Group (SOG) are to be prioritised.
Additionally, strict compliance with guidelines for conducting competitive examinations was ordered. To reduce road accidents, officials were directed to intensify action against drunk driving and ensure regular use of breath analysers.
