The first semi-final of the Champions Trophy between India and Australia is underway at the Dubai International Stadium. Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat first, making it Rohit Sharma’s 14th consecutive toss loss in ODIs.

Speaking at the toss, Steve Smith said, “We will bat first. The surface looks quite dry. India is a very strong team, so we need to put up a solid total.” Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma responded with confidence, “I was ready to bat or bowl. When in doubt, it’s sometimes better to lose the toss.”
Australia has made two changes to their playing XI, bringing in Cooper Connolly for Matthew Short and Tanveer Sangha for Spencer Johnson. On the other hand, Team India has retained its previous playing XI, going into the match with four frontline spinners.
With a fresh pitch in play, both teams are set to battle for a place in the final of the Champions Trophy. This marks the first time India and Australia are facing each other at this venue in the tournament.
