BSNL Rolls Out 4G Services in Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu

State-owned telecom operator, BSNL, has begun the rollout of its 4G services in select areas of Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu. This rollout aims to provide faster data speeds, facilitating activities such as streaming videos, online gaming, and video conferencing with greater ease. The initial phase of the launch covers specific areas within the district, including Nochili, Kolathur, Pallipet, Thiruvellavoyal, and Ponneri.

Focus on Enhanced Connectivity

BSNL officials have confirmed that Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, is next in line for the 4G rollout. This expansion signifies a major upgrade in connectivity, promising improved internet experiences for users.

Expansion to Neighboring Districts

Residents of Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu districts can also look forward to the arrival of BSNL’s 4G services soon. This broader rollout is part of BSNL’s ambitious Phase IX.2 project, which is funded by the Universal Service Obligation (USO) Fund and employs ‘Make in India’ technology to ensure modern and reliable service.

Free SIM Offer for Users

In an effort to encourage users to switch to their new 4G network, BSNL is offering free SIM cards for new activations and free upgrades to 4G SIMs for existing subscribers in Chennai. This promotional offer is available until September 30, 2024.
