New Delhi, March 7 : A BSF trooper shot himself dead after killing his colleague at a camp in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district on Monday, officials said. The incident took place early in the morning. Head Constable Johnson Toppo shot Head Constable H G Shekharan and then shot himself with his service rifle at Kakmarichar post. Both were rushed to the nearest hospital where doctors declared them brought dead, the BSF said in a statement. The BSF ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the facts. The incident happened a day later of another incident of fratricide at a BSF centre in Amritsar in which five BSF personnel were killed. The dead included the shooter. ASU MR
